Lotus Trolley Bag Makes Holiday Shopping at Aldi So Much Simpler –
The Lotus Trolley Bag makes your holiday shopping at Aldi a breeze. Watch us demonstrate the ease and convenience of the Lotus Trolley Bag system in our video below. Never waste money paying for your grocery bags at Aldi again!
We received a complimentary Lotus Trolley Bag in return for an honest review, and we were so excited to try it out. We love shopping at Aldi. Aldi has amazing grocery prices, but Aldi doesn’t give you free grocery bags like many other retailers. Customers at Aldi must pay 7 cents for a paper grocery bag or 10 cents for a plastic bag. This is one of the ways Aldi keeps grocery prices low though.

Rather than paying for grocery bags at Aldi, you can bring your own. The Lotus Trolley Bag is the perfect bag to bring on your next shopping trip to Aldi. It works perfectly to sort all your groceries. We used this Lotus Trolley Bag on our recent grocery shopping trip to stock up for the holidays.
I’m attempting to build a nice stockpile of cheese balls and buffalo chicken dip in the freezer. That way if I need to bring a dish to a holiday gathering, I can just grab something out of the freezer. Aldi is a great place to buy inexpensive grocery items any time you’re preparing food in bulk.
Lotus Trolley Bag – Sturdy Construction
I was pleasantly surprised by the sturdy construction of the Lotus Trolley Bag. When I kept seeing all the groceries in my cart piling higher and higher, I was thinking there was no way these bags were going to hold all that stuff without breaking. You can probably hear the panic in my voice on the video by the time we get to the frozen food aisle.
Do you see all these groceries on the conveyor belt? Can you believe they all fit in one cart?
We filled each Lotus Trolley Bag to the brim, but they had no trouble at all holding everything. They are super durable. As I was carrying the groceries into the house, I was surprised to find it didn’t feel like the bags were going to break or tear. They were tough enough to do the job at hand. I’ve had other reusable shopping bags that don’t last more than one trip with my grocery load. Thankfully, Lotus is of much higher quality than those.
Convenient Organization with Lotus Trolley Bag
The Lotus Trolley Bag system lets you conveniently organize your groceries into various categories. Of course, we put all the cold stuff into the large insulated Lotus bag. We put baking items into another of the Lotus bags and canned goods and cereal into a different bag. This made putting the groceries away in the kitchen so much quicker because each bag was filled with items that go to the same cabinet/fridge in our home.
Fewer Trips to Carry Groceries with Lotus Trolley Bag
We don’t have an attached garage, so carrying in groceries is always a major chore for us. Because the sturdy Lotus bags hold so much in each, we were able to clear out our van in a lot fewer trips to and from the house. My daughters and I actually had the van completely unloaded before my husband could even get his shoes on to come outside to help.
New and Improved Lotus Trolley Bag Products
Lotus Trolley Bag has just launched a Kickstarter campaign for some new and improved products. By supporting the campaign, you can get discounts up to 40% off their new and improved products.
One of the new products is a wider version of the Lotus Trolley Bag made for the bigger carts at warehouse stores like Costco. There’s also an improved version of the regular-sized Lotus bag that contains additional pockets for eggs and wine bottles. If, like us, you don’t drink wine, you could probably use them for dressing bottles and so on.
You can find the Lotus Kickstarter campaign here.
Now I really want to try the Lotus Reusable Produce Bags. I’m always taking bags of apples and Cuties to various athletic events, and disposable gallon zipper bags are usually the only thing I have to fit 4-6 apples. These Lotus Produce Bags look like they would be great for carrying fruit with me for the whole family.
One Final Lotus Trolley Bag Tip
I always mean to bring my own bags to Aldi, but I often forget to put them in the van before I leave. I’ve come up with a life hack to always remember the Lotus Bag. As soon as I put away all my groceries, I fold the empty Lotus Trolley bags back into their original configuration. Then I hang the entire contraption on the doorknob at my back door.
When I leave my house, I can’t get out the door without remembering the Lotus Trolley Bag. I then hang the Lotus Trolley Bag over the headrest of one the van seats. It’s there waiting for my next shopping trip, and it’s not even getting in the way of anything I need to store in the floor space of the cargo area.
Lotus Trolley Bag Makes a Great Impression
The Lotus Trolley Bag is one of my new favorite products because it solves some real problems that I’ve previously faced in the process of grocery shopping for a large family. The beauty of the Lotus Trolley system is that it’s just the RIGHT SIZE for any shopping trip. If you’re only picking up a few items, you only need one of the bags. If you are overflowing your cart as we did, there are bags for that. If you have cold items on a hot day, you have a cooler bag to solve that issue.
Using these bags with shoulder straps distributes the weight much better than breaking all your fingers trying to carry in a zillion small plastic bags. And you don’t have canned goods breaking through the weak plastic or the handle ripping right off as you attempt to carry all your small bags into the house in just one trip.

This trolley bag looks amazing. I am right there with you on the flimsy plastic bags tearing all the time, and trying to carry a bunch in at once. My husband manages to do it, and I’m always amazed at how many he can handle. Me, I’d have broken fingers and oranges rolling to the neighbor’s house. This is something that could save me a ton of time!
It really does work so much better than all the plastic/paper bags. And unfortunately, I’ve had actual experience with fruit falling out of the broken bags and rolling down into the spare tire compartment in the trunk of a car in the middle of summer. It was not pleasant when we found it several months later.
