We’re still learning video editing. The editing for this was a bit rushed because Youtube is discontinuing their free video editor. I use Adobe Spark for short video, but I’m not sure what I’ll use for longer video now. I didn’t have time to clean it up as much as I would have liked. I have to learn that I can’t turn the camera on its side while taking video. It’s not like a still photo where you can easily rotate the shot. I also realize there is some repeat information a few times on the video. With more time I could have removed the repeated statements. This was a bit of a video editing experimental project. We tried to have fun with it, and we hope you will learn something if you can survive the entire 40 minutes of it.

I’m sure after this riveting tale of sock mating, you won’t want to miss our next organizational project which will hopefully be my chaotic closet. To join us on all our crazy adventures subscribe to our email list and/or follow us on social media using the Follow buttons on the right sidebar.

This book below Cut the Clutter and Stow the Stuff is something I asked for many years ago for Christmas. I read it, and there were several helpful strategies included, but all of them involve getting rid of stuff. Guess what I’m not very good at? If I could just get rid of all the stuff that has to stay here, I wouldn’t need a book to give me a strategy because there would be nothing left in need of organizing, right? I’m pretty good at “stowing the stuff” though. I’m sure this book is grand for anyone who can easily part with all their accumulated possessions. I’m just not that person. Instead of following someone else’s plan, I’ve decided to chart my own course with my Home Organization for Hoarders approach because our real life here at The House That Never Slumbers is just one, big redneck how-to after another!

And here are a few of the items that are seen or mentioned in the video. The really old Kindle Keyboard with 3G that you saw in the video is a product that will no longer generate a link from Amazon, so I’m including the Kindle Paperwhite instead which seems to be today’s greatly improved and updated version of the one I own. It even has a backlit screen which is something my old version lacks. These are all items that make our home more manageable.

Spread the love!
